Visited the Ebebezer Church Cemetery grave site July 17, 2008. Ardie Jorias Kissinger died on 30 November 1980 in Geisinger Medical Center, Mahoning Township, Montour Co., PA, at age 88. He was buried on 3 December 1980 in Ebenezer Church Cemetery, Flint Valley, Washington Township, Snyder Co., PA.

Freeburg - Ardie J. Kissinger, 88, of Freeburg, died Sunday in Geisinger Medical Center.
A retired threshing machine operator, he was a Washington Twp. Supervisor, life member of the Freeburg Fire Company, and a member of Ebenezer Bible Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Nolder of Selinsgrove; three sons, Robert P. of Selinsgrove RD 3, Warren J. of Harrisburg and George E. of Middleburg RD 3; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Lauver of Mount Pleasant Mills RD 1; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the funeral home in Mount Pleasant Mills. The Rev. Raymond D. Neitz will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday after 7pm.

"The church building is located about two miles south of Freeburg in Washington Township. The origin of the congregation is unkown. Long before a church building was erected, the people worshiped in private homes and in the schoolhouse. The church building was erected in 1880. It is a plain square building with the cemetery located east of the church".
