He served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a crane operator and worked for Bethlehem Steel. Elwood Ernest Kissinger (VC) died on 2 May 2001 in Dauphin Co, PA, at age 63. He was buried on 7 May 2001 in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax, Dauphin Co., PA.

Eric Douglas Kissinger was born on 5 January 1961 in Sunbury, Northumberland Co., PA. He was the son of William E. Kissinger and Eleanor Francis Minnier. Eric Douglas Kissinger married Terry L. McCue on 6 October 2000. Eric Douglas Kissinger died on 26 December 2009 in Fayetteville, PA, at age 48.

Eric Kissinger
Fayetteville - Eric D. Kissinger, 48, of Fayetteville, beloved husband of Terry L. Kissinger, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009.
Eric was born Jan. 5, 1961, in Sunbury, a son of William and Eleanor Kissinger, of Chambersburg. He was married on Oct. 6, 2000, in Winchester, VA., to the former Terry L. McCue, who survives.
He graduated from Chambersburg Area High School and Pennsylvania State University. Eric was employed for more than 20 years by the Beistle Co., Shippensburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one sister, Stephanie Mabe, of Asheboro, N.C; his loving grandmother, Stella Minnier, of Chambersburg; and four stepchildren, Heidi McNeil and husband David, of Waynesboro, John Simmers and wife Penny, of Greencastle, JoElla Cole and husband Brandon, and Jessica Simmers, of Richmond, VA. He was blessed with five stepgrandchildren, Sabrina and Keith McNeil, Haley Simmers, Sincere McCray and Trent Simmers, and was the loving uncle of Mallory, Megan and Macie Mabge and great-uncle of Kierstin Powers.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Michelle Kissinger; grandfather, Bruce Minnier, and grandparents, William and Esther Kissinger.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Top Ministries with Pastor Ron Parr, a close friend and pastor of Mountain Top Ministries, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eric's memory to Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center, 13331 E. Wyoming Ave., Phildadelphia, PA 19124, or Mountain Top Ministires, 200 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA 17353.
Arrangements are by Hetrick Cremation Services of Central Pennsylvania.

Eric was born Jan. 5, 1961, in Sunbury, a son of William and Eleanor Kissinger, of Chambersburg. He was married on Oct. 6, 2000, in Winchester, VA., to the former Terry L. McCue, who survives.
He graduated from Chambersburg Area High School and Pennsylvania State University. Eric was employed for more than 20 years by the Beistle Co., Shippensburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one sister, Stephanie Mabe, of Asheboro, N.C; his loving grandmother, Stella Minnier, of Chambersburg; and four stepchildren, Heidi McNeil and husband David, of Waynesboro, John Simmers and wife Penny, of Greencastle, JoElla Cole and husband Brandon, and Jessica Simmers, of Richmond, VA. He was blessed with five stepgrandchildren, Sabrina and Keith McNeil, Haley Simmers, Sincere McCray and Trent Simmers, and was the loving uncle of Mallory, Megan and Macie Mabge and great-uncle of Kierstin Powers.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Michelle Kissinger; grandfather, Bruce Minnier, and grandparents, William and Esther Kissinger.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Top Ministries with Pastor Ron Parr, a close friend and pastor of Mountain Top Ministries, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eric's memory to Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center, 13331 E. Wyoming Ave., Phildadelphia, PA 19124, or Mountain Top Ministires, 200 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA 17353.
