     John Klinger Jr. is the son of John Frazier Klinger and Sarah Elizabeth Ross. John Klinger Jr. married Sally V. Harry on 10 April 1952.

     John L. Klinger (WW-II) was born on 19 July 1927 in Shamokin, Northumberland Co., PA. He was the son of Harold J. Klinger and Jennie E. Quartz. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, and the Philippine Liberation Campaign as a first mate in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. John L. Klinger (WW-II) died on 17 October 2000 in Mountain Nursing Center, Frackville, Schuylkill Co., PA, at age 73.

FRACKVILLE - John L. Klinger, 73, formerly of Trevorton, died Tuesday morning at the Broad Nursing Center, Frackville.
Born in Shamokin on July 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Harold and Jennie (Quartz) Klinger.
He attended Shamokin schools and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, and the Philippine Liberation Campaign as a first mate in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was the Lutheran faith and a member of the Trevorton Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are two sisters, Anna Lindemuth of Ashland and Jennie Roth of Shamokin and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert, Harold and William.

He was the son of Georg Henrich Klinger and Anna Maria Rettig. John Leonhard Klinger (CW) was baptized on 4 May 1826 in Church in Gross Bieberau, Hesse, Germany. He married Martha Angelina Rhea on 28 June 1853 in Paris, Edgar Co., IL. On 10 Oct 1861 he enlisted in Company E, 66th Infantry, Regiment Illinois and on 22 Sep 1864 he mustered out Company E., 66th Infantry Regiment IL. Enlisted as a Wagoner. John Leonhard Klinger (CW) married Mary E. Kitts on 15 September 1870 in Edgar Co., IL. John Leonhard Klinger (CW) died on 1 March 1876 in Paris, Edgar Co., IL, at age 49. He was buried on 4 March 1876 in Edgar Cemetery, Paris, Edgar Co., IL, Germany.

He was born on 1 June 1797 in Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA. He was the son of Johann Phillip Klinger Jr. (RW) and Anna Maria Schneider. John Peter Klinger married Catharina Schade circa 1816. John Peter Klinger married Rebecca (?) in Little Sandusky, Wyandot Co., OH. From Little Sandusky, Ohio, he went to Hottville, MI and bought 640 acres of land. He cleared some of the land and built a gristmill. In 1841 he went to the inauguration of President William Henry Harrison. John Peter Klinger died on 15 June 1850 in Hottsville, MI, at age 53.

Jonas was a laborer in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA. The Census lists is wife as
"Caroline" (age 42) and lists his children as Michael E. (3) and Clara A. (1). At the time of the
1900 Census, Jonas and Maria were living in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, where
Jonas was a farmer. They had been married 28 years and had given birth to 2 children, one of
whom was then living. The 1910 Census lists Jonas and Maria as having been married 38 years
and as having given birth to 2 children, one of whom was then living. It appears to list Jonas and
Maria's marriage as a "second" marriage for both of them, although this point is not clear. Jonas
was a farmer. He died on 26 February 1911, at age 66. He was buried at Zion (Klinger's)
Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.

     Jonathan Klinger was born on 24 August 1823 in Dauphin Co., PA. He was the son of Johann Philip Klinger IV and Catharina Kauffman. Jonathan Klinger was baptized on 21 September 1823 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church, Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA, sponsors: Jacob Schett and wife Anna Maria.
