He married Yvonne Elaine Wiest, daughter of Paul Arthur Wiest (WW-II) and Eva Grace Kessler, on 5 August 1978 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church, Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA. Leonard David Kovac died on 19 June 2008 in PA at age 54. He was buried on 24 June 2008 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin Co, PA.

Obituary:
Leonard D. Kovak, 54, of Elizabethville, passed away Thursday (19 June 2008)at home.
Born in Lykens, March 26, 1954, he was a son of Leonard J. Kovak and the late Mary Bubernak Kovak.
He was a 1972 graduate of Upper Dauphin.
He worked as an administrative officer for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Harrisburg.
He was a member of the Upper Dauphin Dart League and had social memberships with the Wiconisco Fire Company, Gratz VFW and the Erdman Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Yvonne Wiest Kovak; a daughter, Heather L., wife of Scott Herb, Blandon; a brother, Michael S. Kovak, Lykens; a sister, Debra, widow of Randy Wetzel, Elizabethville; a granddaughter, Madison Herb; and a grandson, Nathaniel Herb.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman, with the Rev. Jan Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Erdman. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon- day at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Inc., Elizabethville, and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4999 Louise Drive, Suite 104, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
