It is now part of the Talladega National Forest and only the Fellowship Baptist Church and Cemetery exist at that location). She was buried in Fellowship Baptist Church, Morrowville Community, Dallas Co., AL, She is buried as Susan A. Hooks, wife of Marcus Monroe Hooks. The Death Certificate of her daughter, Frances Elizabeth Hooks Eaves lists her mother as Susan Martin.

The researcher, James M. Eaves remembers there was "talk" in the family that Granddad Eaves and Grandmother Eaves were 1st cousins. Bernice Felts Sharp also remembers the "family talk" that Grandmother Eaves and Granddad Eaves were 1st cousins. Susan A. Martin, mother of Frances Elizabeth Hooks and Emily Martin, mother of William S. Eaves, were sisters.
