     Phyllis Irene Markel is the daughter of Emory L. Markel and Mable Harriet Klinger. Phyllis Irene Markel married Samuel L. Hoke on 23 June 1956 in Salem Reformed Church, Elizabethville, Dauphin Co., PA.

She was buried on 24 May 1999 in Pillow Union Cemetery, Northumberland Co., PA.

He married Dorothy May Kissinger, daughter of Raymond Yertie Kissinger and Rena Geneva Mervine, on 20 November 1938 in Ashland, Schuylkill Co., PA. He served in the US Army from 1943-1946. Clair Marks (WW-II) and Dorothy May Kissinger were divorced. Clair Marks (WW-II) died on 11 February 2001 in PA at age 84.
