Boyer, daughter of William S. Boyer and Christiana Rine, on 23 December 1865 in Philadelphia, PA. Jonathan Benjamin Geise Dr. died on 11 December 1915 in Dauphin Co., PA, at age 75. He was buried after 11 December 1915 in Simeon United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin Co., PA.

     Joseph D. Geise was born on 24 April 1834 in Lykens Township, Dauphin Co., PA. He was the son of John Benjamin Geise and Margaretha Rebecca Umholtz. Joseph D. Geise married El;izabeth E. Witmer on 27 January 1857 in Berrysburg, Dauphin Co., PA. From BIOGRAPHICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA of DAUPHIN COUNTY - 1896. Joseph enlisted in the Union army at Harrisburg May 25, 1862, in Company I, 177th PA volunteers, Col. George B. Wiestling adn Capt. Bemjamin J. Evitts, and was mustered in as second lieutenant. He was discharged and mustered out August 5, 1864, having served on guard duty at Norfolk and Suffolk, VA and at Gettysburg, PA. Joseph D. Geise died on 25 October 1908 in Gratz, Dauphin Co., PA, at age 74. He was buried after 25 October 1908 in Simeon United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin Co., PA.
